London Festival of Architecture

I was in London during the previous weekend and while strolling the streets, quite accidentally, I came across the DRL TEN Pavilion on Bedford Square. Designed by Alan Dempsey and Alvin Huang, it's the winning entry for the DRL Pavilion competition by the AA.

In the opposite direction was the SWOOSH Pavilion, designed and constructed by the students at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. More about the projects at AADRL.

I also went to the NLA Sky Walk as part of the London Festival of Architecture at Montague Place nearby. The temporary 160 meter walkway, designed by Carmody Groarke, provided a really interesting platform for viewing the performances and the exhibitions on the lawned areas around it.
