Global Warmings

Global warming is happening, you like it or not, and it’s good to see that the president is concerned deeply about it, in a deep kind of concerned way.

Jokes aside, evidence exists that the White House has sought repeatedly "to mislead the public by injecting doubt into the science of global warming."

Also check out the Breathing Earth, where you can see people being born, and dying, in real time. Hover over each country to see it’s population and how much CO2 it generates nationally.

P.S. - it takes the U.S. only 5.4 seconds to generate 1000 tonnes of CO2.

Tide chandelier by Stuart Haygarth

London-based designer Stuart Haygarth knows how to turn pile of ordinary trash into awe-inspiring treasure. Haygarth conceived of the Tide chandelier while collecting debris that had washed up on the shores of the Kent coastline. The enormous light fixture, measuring nearly five feet in diameter, is composed of clear and translucent objects, primarily made of plastic.

The Tide chandelier gets is name from its spherical shape, a reference to the moon, whose tidal pull creates the waves that wash up the debris.

T-post: now you can wear news

Subscribing to t-post is a lot like having a magazine subscription, but instead of receiving magazines in your mailbox, you will receive t-shirts.
Every six weeks they design a unique t-shirt based on a current news item and print the shirt’s topic inside. It’s more than a cool looking t-shirt, it’s something to talk about.

Wonderful photography by knotan.
